Join us for an informal introduction to the Massachusetts court system and Q&A with an Associate Justice of the Massachusetts Superior Court. Learn about the roles of the different divisions of the Massachusetts Trial Court, including Housing, Juvenile, Probate, District, and Superior Court. Hear about a day in the life for a Superior Court Judge and ask questions about jury service, the role of the courts, and the challenges confronting the Massachusetts court system.
About Judge Tingle: The Hon. Brent A. Tingle was appointed to the Massachusetts Superior Court by Governor Baker in 2022. Prior to his appointment, Judge Tingle was a trial lawyer and senior partner in a large Boston based law firm where he focused on the defense of physicians and other healthcare providers in professional malpractice cases. Judge Tingle also lectured regularly to attorneys on the art of trial advocacy and to healthcare providers on risk management issues. Judge Tingle is a Fellow of the American College of Trial lawyers and continues to enjoy mentoring younger lawyers who are interested in trial practice.
